*Varsity and Elite Workout Groups
This session we will be introducing a new practice group to complement our High School 16&U and 18&U groups. The Elite Group will be comprised of approximately 30 high school level athletes. Selection to this group will be made by the coaching staff upon the close of summer registration. Eligibility for this group includes, but is not limited to: an athlete's overall ability level, longevity with the Club and participation on one of our Junior Olympic Teams. Of the athletes selected to this group, approximately 16 will have the opportunity to attend one practice per week with Coach Vargas and the Stanford Varsity Team. In addition, approximately 16 athletes from our 16&U and 18&U groups will be selected to attend one Elite Group practice per week. Please note: athletes who are participating in Junior Olympics with another club will not be eligible to attend Varsity or Elite Group practices.

**Beginners
The Beginner Group will begin their Summer Session on Monday, June 12. (Please make a note of this, as this is the only group which begins on this date.) This group is for athletes born in 1995 or later, however, if your child was born in 1994 and does not have 6 months of water polo experience, he may sign up for this group.

GROUP ASSIGNMENTS
Athletes will be placed into 1 of 6 workout groups. Due to the number of athletes and the level of tournament play in the summer session, athletes must practice with their assigned group. Groups will be assigned by the coaching staff and posted on the web site by May 19th.

The division between the Age Group and High School practice groups will be based on birth date. Players born in 1992 will still play with the Advanced or Intermediate Age Group, while players born in 1991 or earlier will be assigned to the High School groups.

If you still have questions regarding which group your son should be in, please email Coach Barnea at jbarnea@gmail.com

GAME NIGHTS
Come cheer for our athletes: Tuesdays for High School and Fridays for Age Group! We will have special nights featuring complimentary hotdogs, pizza, sports drinks or other give-aways for athletes and their cheering families. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the summer session for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.

SWIM CONDITIONING (optional add-on)
This will be one and one-half hours of water polo conditioning, including but not limited to: swimming, dry land, plyometrics and in-water legwork. This program is designed for athletes who would like to improve their individual swimming strength and skills. At least an hour of each practice will be dedicated to swimming. Swim sets will be geared toward water polo conditioning and each athlete's ability. Cost: $125 per athlete (includes a fitness band.) Begins June19th.
