IMPORTANT NOTICE! USA Water Polo has just restructured their memberships. You may visit www.usawaterpolo.org to view the details. However, with the opening of the 2008/09 Winter Session registration, we wanted to be sure our Club Families are aware of the following changes:

1) The new Gold Athlete ** membership ($70) has replaced the traditional “Basic Athlete” annual membership and allows athletes to participate in all USA WP tournaments, as well as National and Olympic Development events.

2) The new Silver Athlete membership ($50) is also annual and allows athletes to participate in practices and most tournaments, but it excludes any and all National and/or Olympic Development events (which includes Junior Olympics and Speedo Cup).

3) The Seasonal Athlete membership will no longer be offered starting in 2009. Therefore, if you are fairly new to the sport of water polo, you may sign up for the Silver Athlete membership if you are not sure whether you will participate for more than one session. Note: you may upgrade from Silver to Gold at any time, but it will cost you the difference in fees + a $5 processing fee.

4) The new Trial membership (no charge) is a one-time membership, which is good for one week of practice (no competitions). This membership is only obtainable by downloading and signing a hard copy of the form found by clicking on the following link: http://www.usawaterpolo.org/PDFs/membership/2008usawpTrialAthlete.pdf

**We recommend that all of our returning Club athletes register for the Gold membership, except for our Junior Polo athletes (born in 1998 or later who are not likely to move to Age Group in 2009), who can register for the Silver membership.
