Autograph Day Saturday, November 6: Come out to the Avery Aquatics Center this Saturday as the #4 Ranked Stanford Cardinal play host to the #8 ranked Long Beach State 49ers. The game will begin at 12:00 pm and immediately following the game, the Stanford players will all sign free color posters. Please come and enjoy a great game, talk with the players, and get your autographed poster. Admission to the game is free so bring your friends and family, and don’t miss what is always one of the most enjoyable events of the season.

2010/2011 Winter Session Information Posted: Detailed information on our upcoming 2010/2011 Winter Session is now posted on our web site and can be accessed by clicking here. Registration will open on Wednesday, November 10th, and space in all our groups will be available on a first come, first serve basis. All returning Club members who have participated since the 2009/10 Winter Session will receive an email with their short-cut registration renewal link by Friday, November 12.

Final Fall League Games Sunday: This Sunday’s Fall League will mark the end of the 2010 Fall season for all our Age Group Athletes. Rosters, game times, game locations, and maps to the pools are now posted below. All athletes should be at the pool no later than 45 minutes prior to the start of their first game for team meetings and warm up. We will once again need at least one parent per game to volunteer and help run the desk. If you do not see your son’s name listed, if you know your son will be unable to attend, or if you have any question, please email Coach Barnea at your convenience (email).

Reminder Jr Polo Games Saturday: Our 3rd round of Jr Polo games will be held this Saturday, 10/16, from 9-11 am at the Roble Pool.

Regular Age Group Practice Sunday: Practice will be held as scheduled this Sunday, 10/17, for all our Age Group athletes from 9:00-11:00 am at the Avery Aquatics Center.

Stanford v USC Tomorrow: Come out to the Avery Aquatics Center tomorrow at 3 pm to watch the Stanford Cardinal take on the USC Trojans. You will not want to miss this opportunity to watch the game that will feature two of the best teams in college water polo. Admission is free, but we encourage everyone to come early as the seats will fill up fast and parking may take a little time with the 5 pm football game.

Jr. Polo Games Tomorrow: Our second round of Jr. Polo games will be held from 9:00-11:00 am at the Roble pool on Stanford Campus. We encourage all our Jr. Polo athletes to attend the games in the morning, then head on over to the Avery Aquatics Center in the afternoon to watch Stanford take on USC.

AG Practice Sunday: Practice will be held as scheduled for all AG athletes this Sunday from 9:00-11:00 am at Stanford.

Athletes are divided up onto one of six teams, two of which will play in the 6th Grade & Under Division, while the other four will play in the 8th Grade & Under Division. Stanford Returns Home Next Weekend: Mark your calendars for next Saturday, October 9th, as it marks the return home for the #4 ranked Cardinal as they face #1 ranked USC at 3:00 pm at the Avery Aquatics Center. Stanford University To Compete at NorCal Tournament: The No. 4 Stanford men's water polo team (2-0) heads across the Bay this weekend in search of its second straight NorCal Invitational title. The Cardinal, which won last year's title in its home pool, will open up tournament play Saturday morning, Sept. 18, against No. 15 UC Davis (6-1) at 10:40 a.m. at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill. The tournament will feature the top 16 colligate programs in the country and will be one of the best opportunities for our younger athletes to watch that many high level players and teams all competing at the same tournament. Athletes will be assigned to one of three groups based on age, ability level, and experience.  Water polo ages are based on the year an athlete was born. Please refer to the table below to determine which group your child will most likely be assigned to. (Note: The coaching staff may assign an athlete to a group that does not correspond to his age, but rather his ability level and experience.)

*Please note:  Although the coaches assign each athlete to a group prior to the start of the session, there may be some changes in group assignments during the first few practices as the coaches assess each athlete's skills and ability level.

Click the online Registration Form or on the Registration button to the left to begin the registration process. Be sure to read all information below on the upcoming session before registering. For help with registration, please email Dawn (email).

Our upcoming Fall Session is designed for boys ages 14 and under who are not yet in high school. There is no minimum age or skills requirement, however each athlete must demonstrate basic water safety and swimming skills.  (We require that athletes are able to swim 100 yards in less than 2 minutes and 30 seconds to ensure the safety of all athletes.)

We will have three different divisions for the Fall Session based on age and ability level:  Jr. Polo, Age Group 2 and Age Group 1.  All three divisions will participate in a Fall League with other local teams. 

Session Dates: 
Age Groups 1 & 2: Tuesday, September 7th- Sunday, November 7th*
Jr. Polo: Monday, September 13th - Saturday, October 30th
*Note:  For select Age Group athletes, the session may go as long as November 15th.  This will be based on an athlete’s selection to a certain team and whether that team qualifies for specific tournaments.  (Details below.)

Registration: To qualify for Early Registration, all registration materials must be postmarked by September 2nd for Age Group 1 and Age Group 2 and by September 9th for Jr. Polo. Athletes who participated with the Club during the following sessions: Fall '09, Winter '09-'10, Spring '10, or Summer '10 will receive an e-mail by Saturday, August 21st, containing their short-cut registration link. Two-Week Trial* - Sept. 7-Sept. 20 for Age Groups 1 & 2; Sept. 13-Sept. 26 for Jr. Polo
If you are new to the club and interested in a two-week trial, payment and all registration materials must be completed in order to participate. (Your check will not be cashed unless you decide to continue with the program.) All Two-Week Trial participants must also be registered with USA Water Polo www.usawaterpolo.org (Further information can be found on our online registration form and at the bottom of the Registration page).  
*Please note: The Two-Week Trial is not available to returning Club members.

Sibling Discount:  Additional siblings are $40 less than the regular fee.

Group Assignments*
Athletes will be assigned to one of three groups based on age, ability level, and experience.  Water polo ages are based on the year an athlete was born. Please refer to the table below to determine which group your child will most likely be assigned to. (Note: The coaching staff may assign an athlete to a group that does not correspond to his age, but rather his ability level and experience.)
*Please note:  Although the coaches assign each athlete to a group prior to the start of the session, there may be some changes in group assignments during the first few practices as the coaches assess each athlete's skills and ability level.

*Please note:  There will be an added charge for athletes selected to participate on teams that qualify for the Speedo Cup Qualifier/Speedo Cup tournaments.  We will announce those rosters by Monday, October 4th.  Upon the announcement of these teams, we will require each athlete to submit a non-refundable $100.00 deposit to ensure a spot on the team.

Jr. Polo Group Practice Schedule
Practice Days and Times: Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:30pm - 6:45pm.

Practice Location:  Roble Pool on Stanford University campus.

Jr. Polo Competition Schedule
Games will take place on the following Saturdays at the Roble Pool between the hours of 9:00am - 11:00am.

Calendar
Our Club Calendar shows all workouts, competitions, and other club events. Please check the Calendar on a weekly basis (button on left).  We will update the Calendar as soon as information becomes available. 

Clothing and Team Gear:  Our online Team Shop will be open from August 19th to September 30th . Please keep in mind that the final date to order clothing from our online Team Shop will be Thursday, September 30th, as you may want a team sweatshirt or long-sleeved T-shirt when the weather begins to get colder.

Team Parkas: We will be placing our annual order for TruWest parkas on Thursday, September 16th . The parkas are water-proof, mid-calf length, and fully lined with TruArctic. To order a team parka, please click on the Team Shop button on the left and place your order. You will need to mail your confirmation sheet with payment no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 15th . (Payment must be received before we place our team order on September 16th.)

The cost is $175, which includes your choice of the following embroidered on the front*:
1.  first name and last initial
2.  first initial and last name
3.  first name only
4.  last name only
*Please write on your confirmation sheet which embroidery option you prefer before submitting with payment. If you would like both first and last name embroidered, please add $7.
