The clinic is 100% funded by your donations and all of the donations will go towards the trip.  Athletes of all positions and skill levels are encouraged to attend. Donations can be made at the clinic and online by clicking on this paypal link.

Between them, Drac, Janson, Sage and Jeffery are 13 time All-Americans and during the clinic they will work on advanced shooting techniques and other valuable skills that they have learned throughout their colligate and international playing careers. Along with the in-water instruction they will also talk about their experiences with college academics, college water polo, and how it was like to play professionally in Europe, with time for Q and A's.

Athletes who participate on a J.O. team will be charged a small additional fee to cover the cost of the extra week of practice, which will be collected with travel expenses. (More information on J.O.'s, the qualifying tournaments, and the logistics to come.)

Junior Polo Group*
The Junior Polo Group will begin their Summer Session on Tuesday, June 14th. Please make a note of this, as this is the only group that begins on this date. This group is for younger athletes who are just getting started in the sport of water polo. The group is mainly comprised of athletes born in 2000 or later. However, if your child was born in 1999 and does not have 6 months of water polo experience, he may sign up for this group. Games/scrimmages will take place every other Thursday during the regular practice time. Additional games may be scheduled at a later date and will be posted as soon as any information becomes available.

Strength Development Program (optional add-on)
Stanford University Strength and Conditioning Coach Stephen DiLustro will be offering an 8-week Strength & Conditioning program to Stanford Water Polo Club athletes. The strength & conditioning program is a unique opportunity to train each student athlete for the physical and metabolic demands of water polo. Training is provided to each athlete by the same Strength and Conditioning coaches, and using the same facilities, as the Stanford Cardinal Men's Water Polo Team. This is an intense academy designed to provide the fundamental components necessary to maximize athletic performance and physical development. More details including the registration form can be accessed by clicking here.

Junior Olympics
The boys' Junior Olympic Tournament will take place July 30th - August 2nd, and we hope to qualify as many Stanford Club teams as possible. In order to participate at the Junior Olympics, teams must first qualify through our Pacific Zone qualifying tournament. (See dates above for each age group's qualifying dates.)In order to be considered for a JO Team, athletes must commit and declare themselves eligible by submitting their Junior Olympic Commitment Packet preferrably with their Registration Packet, but postmarked no later than Friday, May 27th, which MUST include:
1)  their J.O. Declaration of Commitment** (signed and dated);
2)  your $200 deposit (check payable to NCWPC —no cash, and separate check from summer dues);
3)  a copy of the athlete’s Birth Certificate
*Note: A $10 late fee will be collected with EACH item that is late/missing from the packet.
** The J.O. Declaration of Commitment will print out with your registration signature pages upon submitting your online registration form and can also be accessed by clicking here.

Per USA Water Polo's Conduct of Championships, an athlete's age for USA Water Polo Zone Qualification Tournaments and National Championship events will be determined by an athlete's age on the first day of the respective National Championship Finals competition, not the year you were born, as in years past. Thus, the age cut-offs per group for the 2011 Junior Olympics will be as follows:

10&U: August 2, 2000 and later
12&U: August 2, 1998 and later
14&U: August 2, 1996 and later
16&U: August 2, 1994 and later
18&U: August 2, 1992 and later

Note: Stanford Club athletes may be selected to play up an age group. Such decisions will be made by the coaching staff on a case by case basis.

The JO Declaration of Commitment form will print out with the signature pages once you submit your online registration. We encourage you to submit the Commitment form and deposit with your registration materials if you know your availability. Selection to a JO team is based on, but not limited to, the following criteria: overall ability level, work ethic and longevity with the Club. Athletes selected for Junior Olympic teams to play in their respective Qualifying Tournaments will be posted on our web site by Sunday, June 5th .
